Prevention and Follow-Up
Exam
Preventive follow-ups aim to detect and diagnose various dental problems. They consist of a visual examination and an X-ray. They also allow us to check whether any of your lifestyle habits or medical conditions are affecting your dental health.
The frequency of preventive follow-ups is determined by your individual factors. Your dental and general health, your lifestyle habits, and your daily care (brushing and flossing) will influence our recommendation regarding the frequency of your visits.
Pain-free cleaning
Air Flow Master
A cleaning like never before!
Using a gentle jet, polishing powder, and warm water, this effective professional cleaning is painless for 95% of patients.
This technique eliminates 100% of harmful biofilm (also known as dental plaque), even in hard-to-reach areas. If not regularly removed, biofilm is responsible for:
- Cavities
- Gingivitis (inflammation of the gums)
- Periodontitis (destruction of bone and gums)
- Peri-implant mucositis (inflammation of the gums around the implant)
- Peri-implantitis (destruction of bone around the implant)
- Halitosis (bad breath)
The benefits of GBT
- Pain-free for 95% of patients of all ages
- Reduced use of manual instruments
- More efficient patient care during orthodontic treatment
- Polishing powder is gentler than polishing pastes
- Helps in the treatment and prevention of gingivitis, periodontitis, peri-implant mucositis, and peri-implantitis
- Gentle on roots, reducing the risk of sensitivity
8 Simple and Effective Steps
Thanks to innovative technology, AIR FLOW AND PIEZON PS PAIN-FREE, the GBT protocol gently removes all biofilm, stains and tartar. Here's how:

Precision Imaging
Digital X-rays
Our clinic is equipped with digital radiology. This requires less radiation than traditional X-rays.
Advantages
- Speed
- Accuracy
- High resolution
- Safer
Did you know?
We are exposed to radiation every day (sun, cell phones, air travel, etc.). Dental X-rays often expose you to a lower dose of radiation than your daily exposure.
But why X-rays?
An X-ray examination is necessary to establish a complete diagnosis. They allow us to see the inside of your teeth and the surrounding bone structure. By identifying dental problems (cavities, abscesses, cysts, bone loss, etc.) more quickly, we can intervene with less invasive and expensive treatments.
Gum Treatment
Periodontal disease
Periodontal disease is a chronic, incurable disease that leads to the destruction of bone and gum tissue. It is often asymptomatic, but some signs may be observed, such as bleeding and bad breath. If left untreated, periodontal disease can lead to long-term tooth loss.
Periodontal treatments can generally halt the progression of the disease and stabilize it. Optimal dental hygiene and very regular follow-ups are recommended to maintain its stability.
